A Writer's Life
When
did you start writing, and why?
I think I started writing as soon as I could hold a pencil. I know my love for writing goes way back--for as long as I can remember. The Lord gave me a family that provided not only a godly Christian heritage, but also a love for stories, reading, and language. One of my grandmothers was a riveting storyteller. Her stories, complete with descriptive details and realistic sound effects, often made shivers go up my spine. Ideas come from all kinds of things--people I meet, places I go, personal observations and experiences. When I write for kids, I try to remember my own childhood and draw ideas from that. >>KEEP READING What do you do when you're not writing? When I’m not writing, I still love to read—but I don’t usually do it in trees anymore. I also enjoy Bible study, baking, piano, biking, aerobics, hiking, and spending time with friends. My favorite ministry area is working with children. >>KEEP READING |
